Sunken boat removal

Sunken boat removal

A boat that has sunk at a dock, in a canal or at a marina has to come out of the water before it can be taken away. We handle sunken and submerged boats up to 100 feet.

Where sunken boats end up

  • Alongside a private dock behind a house
  • In a marina slip
  • In a canal or residential waterway
  • Partly under water, with the bow or stern still showing

What makes a sunken boat job different

A sunken boat is heavier than it looks, because it is full of water and often mud. It has to be raised or pulled out in a controlled way before it can be loaded and hauled off.

How the job is done depends on the boat’s size, how deep it is, how long it has been down, and whether we can reach it from land, from the water, or both.

A sunken boat may still have fuel or oil on board. Let us know if you see a sheen on the water.

If your boat is sinking now

Call us. We’re open 24/7. Stay off the boat and keep people away from it.

What we need from you

Send these with the quote form, or have them ready when you call.

  • Photos of what can be seen above the water, and of the dock or shore next to it
  • The address or ZIP code where the boat is
  • The boat’s length and type, as close as you know
  • Whether it is on land or in the water, and on a trailer or not
  • A few photos: both sides, the hull, and the way in to the boat
  • Confirmation that you own the boat or have the right to have it removed
